Over ten weeks, students will work together to learn and perform a short play based on the book The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. The story is a classic tale about the importance of conserving and protecting nature and the interconnectedness of all life. Together we will make masks, costumes and set pieces. Students who are shy about performing can focus on the technical theater side, while students who are eager to perform will get a chance to have a speaking role. We are excited to be offering students the opportunity to learn about and participate in creating a live performance!

Note: This class will run from 2:00 – 3:00 regardless of the Wednesday dismissal time.

Student enrolled in BASEC on Wednesdays – $40
Student enrolled in BASEC but does not attend on Wednesdays – $180
Students not enrolled in BASEC – $180 + $95 (this is a one time fee for the school year) = $275
