Register for BASEC
BASEC a non-profit, mission-driven organization and is dedicated to providing high-quality and specialty services like inclusion, academic support, and social-emotional learning to our community. We believe in paying living wages and benefits — not just because it’s the right thing to do — but because our community and students benefit tremendously from the talent and skills that these experts bring to BASEC.
We also make use of economies of scale, key partnerships, and strong financial management to offer the depth and quality of programming.
While charged annually and billed bi-monthly, our parents consistently comment that daily and hourly rate for out-of-school time programming is an excellent value for tangible returns.
About Bi-Monthly Billing
BASEC invoices bi-monthly, meaning families receive the annual after school tuition divided into 5 equal installments spread across the school year (September, November, January, March, and May). This enables us to save on expenses related to creating and sending invoices, as well as limiting the impact of collections. The tuition deposit paid at registration is applied to the final invoice of the year (see below).
About Tuition
When registering, you are committing to the annual tuition outlined above that corresponds to the schedule for which you register. We will invoice you for that annual amount in bi-monthly installments, due in September, November, January, March, and May.
About Tuition Deposit
The tuition deposit ($300 for Fowler) is required at registration and is a part of BASEC annual tuition. The tuition deposit is non-refundable. The tuition deposit will be applied to the final tuition payment (May 10 for before and after school tuition).
Withdrawing from BASEC programming forfeits the tuition deposit.
About Schedule Changes
Families are liable for program tuition for the full school year, consistent with their enrollment selection (i.e., the before and/or after school days for which they registered.) Written requests for adjustments to a student’s enrolled schedule are permitted and penalty-free twice:
- During the Early Registration period (May – July); and
- During the mid-year schedule adjustment window, in January
A schedule change request form is available for download at https://belmontbasec.org/about/forms-handbooks/, with hard copies available at our program sites. Requested mid-year changes to a student’s schedule will be reviewed by the program Site Director and a decision regarding approval will be made prior to January 31st, based on the availability of space in the program. Approved schedule changes become effective as of February 1st, for the balance of the school year. Tuition will be prorated to reflect that new schedule.
For schedule change requests outside of the free schedule adjustment periods, a $100.00 change fee is applied for all schedule reductions. If a family is adding to a child’s schedule or making a “lateral” change (maintaining the same number of days), then there is no schedule change fee; however, capacity and staffing factor into our ability to approve the change request.
