Summer Curriculum Choices
Throughout the summer, we offer the classes described below. Please indicate your child’s curriculum preferences when signing up for camp. We will place them in groups for each week, allowing us to keep group sizes balanced and best allocate our teaching staff. We will do our best to ensure that every child is able to participate in their preferred choices, but groups do fill up. Preference is given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our registration system allows for a first choice and second choice; however, more detailed information (ranked choices, special health circumstances, and LARP or Coding specific week requests) are helpful as we create our curriculum groups. Following your registration, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to communicate more detailed information than the fields below allow.
If you sign up for more than 5 weeks of summer camp, we’ll reach out to you for more information regarding your curriculum choices.
Most curriculum groups meet in the morning only, leaving the afternoon for swim, free play, and teacher-led choices in outdoor games, art, yoga, engineering, and theater. Your child can make different choices every afternoon, but will be in the same morning curriculum block for the whole week.
The first 8 weeks of camp offer a wide cross-section of the curriculum choices below for all students in grades 1 – 8. While not every curriculum choice will garner enough interest to run every week, we’ve seen many choices (like Sports and STEM) run each of the first 8 weeks of summer. When we have received enough registrations to confirm camp curriculum choices for the summer, we’ll communicate that to you by email.
(weeks of August 17 & 24)
Based on the latest research to counteract academic “summer slip.” Students entering grades 1 – 4 spend half the day in summer activities and the other half refreshing their academic skills to hit the ground running in September. With a focus on language arts and math, our programming provides students with rote practice of skills, as well as the engaging, open-ended lessons that promote deep understanding of concepts.
Students entering grades 5 – 8 will participate in either Makerspace or LARP for the weeks of August 17 and August 24.
Outing Club and LARP: A Camp within a Camp
You must indicate when enrolling if you are signing up for one of those choices, and for which week. An additional fee applies for Outing Club.
Please Note: In order to effectively place campers in Outing Club or LARP slots, we must receive a separate email requesting Outing Club or LARP for specific weeks that coincide with a camp registration for that same week. Please send this email to email@example.com.
Slots will be filled when both the registration for a camp week and an email requesting LARP for that particular week are received.
Summer Curriculum Choices
The registration link below allows you to select two curriculum choices. For more specific or for a larger number of requests, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org following your registration.
