Environmental Explorers – Grades 1-2
Environmental Explorers is a workshop that connects students to nature right in “our own backyard”. Each week, students will dig into a new topics while building science practices and naturalist skills. When possible, lessons will bring students outside and use whatever environment is readily available. There is also be opportunities to meet some of Mass Audubon’s native wildlife ambassadors (live animals). Come explore and learn more about the natural world.
Grades: 1-2

Learn Great Magic! – Grade 3
Watch amazing magic up close and then learn how to do it! Ken is an award-winning magician who loves to teach students magic! Tricks that students will learn include: how to make rubber bands jump around on your fingers, have paperclips leap into the air and link together, push a coin through a table, change the color of handkerchiefs, plus all sorts of fun with cards &emdash; and more. Students will receive their own supplies so that they will be able to practice at home and ‘wow’ their friends and family.

Stories on Stage – Grade 1
Each class of this introductory workshop will begin with a story that we will read together. Then we will explore different ways to turn that story into a stage performance: acting it out with pantomime, making puppets, or creating a soundtrack to accompany the words. This fun and relaxed workshop is a perfect way for first graders to dip their toes in and try out drama!

SPORTS: GRADE 3
In this workshop, students will build coordination and strengthen movement skills while staying active through engaging sports and activities. WIth an emphasis on upper body movements, they will improve hand-eye coordination, practice teamwork and sportsmanship, and explore disc golf, pickleball, badminton, tetherball and other gym favorites in a supportive environment. Students will also develop confidence through both independent skill-building and collaborative team play, learning to balance person growth with working together. Come join the fun!
