Come join Ms. Normile as she shares her love of all types of arts and crafts. Students will create a wide variety of projects using various techniques, skills and materials. Each week students will explore and create a wonderful project to bring home.

*please note that this workshop will not run on Monday 11/17 due to a scheduled teacher absence. If your child does not typically attend BASEC on Mondays but is enrolled in this workshop, they can attend BASEC until 4:00 on 11/17.

Do you love music? Do you wish you could play and sing like your favorite performers?  This workshop is great for students who want to try out playing the ukulele for the first time, or for students who play the ukulele already, and want to practice their essential skills and learn new songs.  Students will learn and practice eight basic ukulele chords that will allow them to play just about any song.  Students will help to choose which songs we learn, and we will work toward a final showcase.  New and returning ukulele plays are welcome!

Our younger athletes will dive into BASEC’s classic gym games that keep energy high and bodies moving.  This workshop encourages teamwork and fair play while introducing healthy competition in a fun, age-appropriate way.  Alex is also placing a focus on helping children build resiliency – trying their best even when they feel like the underdog or that the teams (are not the way they would choose.) Students will learn how to play together, give their best effort and celebrate both growth and improvement.
