Each week, students will listen to a story, identify and discuss the problem that the characters are having, and use the engineering process (plan, build, test and improve) to construct a solution. An example would be reading the story Three Little Pigs and using the supplied materials to create a house that could withstand wind pressure. Students will be able to use their creative minds and imagination to solve each challenge!

This workshop is an introduction to the art and joy of Improv for students in first and second grades. We will begin by playing simple drama games and move on to more complex games as students grow in their ability to work together, listen to each other, and make up ideas on the fly. This workshop is designed to welcome Improv beginners, but students who have taken the Fall Improv workshop will find that there is plenty of new material.

Students will learn to design and create things that reflect their own personal style. Students will discover their style and create decorative paper that reflects their unique personalities. Students will learn and explore different DIY (do-it-yourself) techniques from stamp making and personalizing school supplies, to repeating patterns for fashion and material design. These creations will become daily staples in each students self expression.

Join our fun-filled workshop designed to build confidence, explore exciting new and classic games, develop teamwork, and sportsmanship skills. Alex will also be introducing Disc Golf by teaching entry-level frisbee throwing skills and information about the game. Come join the fun!
