Beginner Chess – 2-3
Unlock the world of strategy and critical thinking with our beginner chess workshop led by our Sports Specialist Alex, this fun and engaging program is perfect for students that are new to the game. Kids will learn the fundamentals of chess, including piece movement, basic strategies, and the rules of play. Through hands on practice and friendly matches with peers, participants will develop problem-solving skills, patience, and confidence-all while having a great time. Whether your child is curious about chess or ready to take their first move, this workshop is the perfect way to introduce them to the game in an exciting and supportive environment.
Please note there will be no workshop on 6/3. Students enrolled in the workshop will stay with regular BASEC programming from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.

Student enrolled in BASEC but does not attend on Tuesdays – $72
