BEATS is a collaborative music class rooted in creativity and fun! The class focuses on various approaches to music, rhythm, acting and performance. Students will learn more about the processes of writing songs and raps, acting in scenes of musicals and plays, and they will even play instruments in collaboration with others. They will learn how to refine their own concepts and ideas, choreograph movement, develop skills with public speaking and collaboration, and write original songs. Taught by recording and performing artist Kabir Sen (a professional musician, rapper, singer, and long-time elementary music teacher at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge and a Burbank parent). No previous experience with music is required and all are welcome!

Student enrolled in BASEC but does not attend on Thursdays- $100
Student not enrolled in BASEC – $100 + $95 (this is a one time fee for the school year) = $195
