BASEC Summer Enrichment Camp blends the best elements of BASEC programming into a diverse experience of exploration, learning, and fun. BASEC educators are the heart of soul of Summer Camp. Our combination of curriculum specialists, professional teachers, and high school and college-aged teaching assistants develop and implement a wonderful curriculum that builds the 21st-century skills so important to our youth.
On Fridays, all campers attend an off-site, all-day field trip.
Below are the various types of camp week structures for each age group and registration.
For information regarding our health care policy, discipline policy, grievance policy, and/or background check procedures of staff, please email vacationcamp@maynardbasec.org.
We’ve got eight weeks of fun planned for our youngest campers. Each week campers will get to explore, create, and build under a new and different theme. Plus, each day will have fun ways to keep your child active and staying cool, so don’t forget to pack those bathing suits! Over the 8 weeks of summer, our lower and upper elementary-age campers are going to have tons of fun learning and playing each day, filled with enriching activities in art, STEM and sports, along with exciting water games to keep them cool! And, we can’t forget to mention our weekly Friday field trips to a new and exciting place each week Rising 5th graders join for the last couple weeks of summer camp! Have your middle schooler spend the first weeks of summer exploring Boston with BASEC! They’ll take the subway, commuter rail, and buses to learn how to navigate the greater Boston area and visit museums, landmarks, sports arenas, theaters, and other interesting places! Has your child shown interest in working with younger children? Are they looking to have fun AND give back to their community? If so, BASEC’s CIT program is a perfect fit for them! They’ll get to build positive relationships with younger children while also beginning to develop early skills in professionalism.
