Poetry is not just for stuffy academics and Shakespeare fans. Learn how to write Slam Poetry, poetry that gets loud, gets silly, gets serious, and gets us expressing ourselves. In this workshop, you’ll explore your thoughts and feelings and learn how to write powerful poems that make an impact.  Your student will learn how to write “poetry with a punch,” be exposed to a range of different poetry styles and slam poets, and get to run a mock “Poetry Slam” competition. This workshop is great for both writers and performers!
