K-1st Summer Camp

We’ve got three weeks of fun planned for our youngest campers. Each week campers will get to explore, create, and build under a new and different theme. Plus, each day will have fun ways to keep your child active and staying cool, so don’t forget to pack those bathing suits!

2nd-4th Summer Camp

Over the first three weeks of summer, our elementary-age campers are going to have tons of fun learning and playing each day, filled with enriching activities in art, STEM and sports, along with exciting water games to keep them cool! And, we can’t forget to mention our weekly Friday field trips to a new and exciting place each week!

5th-8th Outing Camp

Have your middle schooler spend the first few weeks of summer exploring Boston with BASEC! They’ll take the subway, commuter rail, and buses to learn how to navigate the greater Boston area and visit museums, landmarks, sports arenas, theaters, and other interesting places!

3rd-5th Local Outing Camp

During our last couple weeks of camp, these campers will get to explore everything Maynard. It will consist of daily walking trips discovering fun spots all around town! Plus, super fun Friday field trips beyond Maynard to end the week with a bang!

6th-8th Counselor-In-Training Program

Has your child shown interest in working with younger children? Are they looking to have fun AND give back to their community? If so, BASEC’s CIT program is a perfect fit for them! They’ll get to build positive relationships with younger children while also beginning to develop early skills in professionalism.

Recommended Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM // Available Extended Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Coding and 3D Printing

on: February 13, 2023

Students will team up on a common vision, a student-created design utilizing 2D (Scratch) and 3D (Tinkercad) platforms. Students explore the fundamentals of coding and will use web-based programs to put their ideas into action. Feedback will be delivered authentically, as students see how their choices on the computer screen are handled by the programs and by BASEC’s 3D printer!

Makerspace or STEM

Makerspace introduces students to hands-on techniques such as Makey Makey, basic circuitry, recycled materials, simple machines, visual design, and more.

Jr. and Sr. Sports

Calling all athletes! Our Sports Specialists James Burke and Alex DeMaris challenge students to rise to the occasion in this curriculum choice where competition meets good sportsmanship and teamwork. Blending many different athletic choices, students will participate in a variety of drills and games.

First Grade Group

on: February 13, 2023

The first grade curriculum is designed and led by some of BASEC’s favorite Kindergarten teachers! Students entering first grade in the fall will collectively make up a single classroom, with a daily curriculum that includes art, stories, games, and nature exploration. First graders stay with their group throughout the day, with camp curriculum in the morning, and free swim, playground, and activities in the afternoon.
