We believe that children and families who need access to our programs should have access to our programs. Over the past 5 school years, we have provided over $200,000 in tuition assistance to qualified families and regularly work with parents, school administrators, and the district to ensure that families facing special circumstances are able to access our programming.

Our tuition assistance goals are to

  • Ensure the most vital programs are available to all our students;
  • Utilize all channels of tuition support;
  • Maintain BASEC’s financial viability.

About Registration Fee

BASEC is now Registration Fee-Free!

About Tuition Deposit

The tuition deposit ($300 for Burbank; $300 for Green Meadow; $300 for Fowler; $350 for Chenery; and a To Be Determined Amount for each Summer week) is required at registration and is a part of BASEC annual tuition. The tuition deposit is non-refundable. The tuition deposit will be applied to the final tuition payment (May 10 for before and after school tuition; June 15 for summer tuition).

Withdrawing from BASEC programming forfeits the tuition deposit.

About Schedule Changes

Once registered, your student’s schedule is set for the start of the school year.

We have 2 free schedule change periods during our school year:

  • from the opening date of registration for the upcoming school year through the second week of July; and
  • during the month of January

During those free schedule change periods, a family may reduce their child’s schedule with BASEC without a fee. Please note that withdrawing completely from the program does forfeit the tuition deposit paid at registration.

We can accommodate schedule changes at other times; however, any schedule reduction outside the 2 free schedule change periods is subject to a $100 schedule change fee. Families may add to a schedule without a fee at any time of year, provided that BASEC has space in the program to accommodate another student on that requested day. The annual tuition will then be adjusted to match the new schedule.

While charged annually and billed bi-monthly, our parents consistently comment that daily and hourly rate for out-of-school time programming is an excellent value for tangible returns.
