Our Business Builders Workshop is an experiential learning curriculum designed to help 7th & 8th grade students develop viable, innovative, and self-engineered entrepreneurial ventures. In this Workshop, students develop their own businesses by creating professional, market-informed products or services. Through this process, students discover how businesses are imagined, created, grown, and maintained. Most class sessions are dedicated to conceiving business plans, prototyping and producing products, and preparing to showcase materials at an end-of-semester sales event. In the final class, students reflect on their experience, calculate revenue numbers, and decide their next steps forward on their entrepreneurial path!

The Spring 2026 Business Builders workshop runs for 14 weekly class sessions, with students preparing products for showcase and sale at the Annual BASEC Gala in late May 2026 (tentative date 5/30/26). With both a fall and spring session of Business Builders, students have an opportunity to continue iterating their business over multiple seasonal workshop sessions. The longer a student is enrolled in and engaged with Business Builders, the more comprehensive and developed their businesses will become. 

Tuition:

• If your child is enrolled in BASEC @ BMS on Thursdays: $50.00 (Workshop tuition)
• If your child is enrolled in BASEC @ BMS, but does not attend on Thursdays: $330.00 (Workshop tuition)
• If your child is not enrolled in BASEC @ BMS for the 2025-2026 school year: $425.00 ($95 registration fee + $330 Workshop tuition)
