Our space is a good fit for so many different students.
What brings you to BASEC every day?
I come to BASEC because I need a space to work since I live far away and it is hard for me to get home each afternoon. Also, I come for help scheduling what homework I should do when and with help with bigger assignments, such as essays.
What is your favorite thing about BASEC?
My favorite thing about BASEC is the support I get while going through my work and figuring out what assignments to do when. Also, I like the environment in BASEC and how everyone in the group has become really good friends.
What HW do you like to do at BASEC?
I like to do some smaller assignments like math or science work so that I can check them off my list and leave those binders at school. I also like working on essays and other assignments so that I can get the help I need to write those while I am at BASEC.
How does BASEC fit into your extracurricular activities?
BASEC fits in really well because I do a lot of theater outside of school. Depending on my theater schedule for the day, I can either stay at BASEC and go straight to rehearsal or I go to BASEC after my rehearsal. It helpful having a place to go so that I don’t have to go home in between each time, which is hard for me to do.
Do you feel that your organizational skills have improved?
I think that I have become better at prioritizing my work so that I can get the most work done in the least amount of time.

What brings you to BASEC every day?
It’s a quiet space for me to do HW everyday.
What is your favorite thing about BASEC?
I am able to get all of my work done before I go home.
What HW do you like to do at BASEC?
All types of HW.
How does BASEC fit into your extracurricular activities?
Mostly everday I come to BASEC. Even if I have a sport after school I will come and check in with Brandon on what I have that day.
Do you feel that your organizational skills have improved?
I feel that I keep track of my HW more and don’t forget about it as much.

What brings you to BASEC every day?
My homework usually brings me to BASEC, sometimes there are social aspects as well.
What is your favorite thing about BASEC?
Brandon is very helpful, he helps me plan proactively, and get work done in a timely manner.
What HW do you like to do at BASEC?
I tend to do my history homework, math homework, and chemistry homework to get help from older students who have taken chemistry here at the high school.
How does BASEC fit into your extracurricular activities?
I am able to fit BASEC into my sports schedule.
Do you feel that your organizational skills have improved?
I get my homework done much earlier in the day, I am able to go home with most to all of my homework done.

BASEC @ BHS is a community of learners.
What brings you to BASEC every day?
I started to hang out at BASEC because my twin was enrolled in the program. Also, I liked the people in it and made some new friends there. Because of this, I joined. Now I do homework and eat food. Its wonderful and delicious.
What is your favorite thing about BASEC?
I really like the people and the food. Also, I like having a place to come so I don’t need to walk home everyday, then walk back for my swim practice.
What HW do you like to do at BASEC?
I like to do science homework here because most people can help me with it.
How does BASEC fit into your extracurricular activities?
It fits well for the most part. Some days I have music which interferes, but because of my swim practice being at 4:20, it really doesn’t affect me too much.
Do you feel that your organizational skills have improved?
No, not really. This is just because I had decent organizational skills before the program. Its just that I’m really lazy and hate doing work outside of school. Once I get into it though, I do very well!
