Scratch Gaming w/ Trevor (Grades 2+)
In this workshop, students will have a chance to explore and use the site, Scratch.mit.edu. Scratch was developed at MIT and has grown into a global community of student-coders who’ve built a library of games, animations, and all kinds of other projects. This workshop is a great opportunity for students to connect and have some fun while learning about Scratch. Each week, we’ll select a new theme, and explore and evaluate Scratch projects. Students in this class will practice digital citizenship skills while learning to give constructive and positive feedback.
*It is recommended but not required that students use a traditional computer for this class. Students will still be able to participate using an iPad/tablet, however some of our activities will be a bit more challenging.
This class is designed for students in grades 2 and up.
