in: Virtual on: Monday
meets: 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/26
time: 4:00-5:00

In this workshop, students will begin to explore the many ways they can create with Scratch! Scratch is a visual coding language developed at MIT that’s designed to help kids learn to code through exploration and fun. We’ll learn fundamental coding concepts like sequencing, variables, conditionals, and much more while creating an interactive story project that encourages students to flex their creativity.

To participate in class, students will need to make a free account on the coding website Scratch (scratch.mit.edu). We strongly encourage students to set up an account before the first day of class.

NOTE: This Workshop is for beginners. Students who have experience with Scratch will prefer our Intermediate Scratch workshop.

This class is designed for students in grades 2 and up.
